Really, it’s sort of a miracle we ever had Blackwing-badged Cadillacs like the CT5-V at all. The Blackwing program was born in an era of upheaval and uncertainty, surviving both the sudden death of the clean-sheet twin-turbo Blackwing V8 engine intended to power the short-lived CT6 flagship, and later, a sweeping corporate mission to transition to an all-electric product portfolio by 2035.
