Supercharged V8s are a lot of fun, of course, but that hasn’t saved them from slowly going the way of the dodo. While Americans can largely ignore emissions regulations for a couple more years, the rest of the world isn’t doing the same. Foreign automakers have figured out that a modern turbocharged V8 gives you the same great boost without the parasitic loss and extra fuel burn of constantly turning a supercharger.
