Sooner or later, every nameplate drives off to that big used car lot in the sky. So far, 2026 has seen the loss of 53 different vehicles that have been discontinued or put on hiatus. Some of these losses sting more than others. Few will miss the Dodge Hornet, but the BMW 8 Series, which ended production earlier this year, might leave some enthusiasts disappointed.
