The very first Nissan Silvia is a creature of automotive folklore. A story rarely told, or one so unbelievable, since folks rarely catch a glimpse of one in the wild. There are fireside tales about the Toyota 2000GT and the Datsun 240Z as the most important early sports coupes from the respective automakers, but they weren’t their firsts. Those titles are awarded to the Sports 800 for Toyota…and something much rarer for Nissan.
