Nismo, Nissan’s famous in-house tuning division, is best known for unleashing high-performance versions of standard Nissan models. The Nismo name has adorned models like the GT-R, 370Z, and even the Sentra, while today’s most prominent Nismo model is the Z Nismo sports car. Also a store where customers can purchase performance parts, Nissan has just revealed its most-sold Nismo accessory in fiscal year 2025. One might have expected it to be something for the Z sports car, but the most popular Nismo accessory is actually a pickup lift kit.

The Most Popular Nismo Accessory

The most-sold Nismo accessory is the Frontier Lift Kit for the tough midsize pickup. A $371 option, the Nismo Off-Road Suspension Lift Kit includes a front strut space that enables a 1.5-inch front lift and a matching 1.5-inch rear axle lift block. Extended leaf spring u-bolts and Nismo-branded aluminum bump stop extension plates are part of the enhancements, too. They not only give the Frontier a more commanding look, but improve the truck’s capabilities in off-road environments, too. Following the lift kit, the next most popular Nismo accessory is the Nismo Axis Frontier wheels. Nissan announced these sales highlights as it launched the new Frontier Sport Edition, an off-road version of the pickup that sits below the Pro-4X.
“Frontier alone accounted for over 25% of Nissan Motorsports accessory sales last fiscal year,” said Matthew Cole, manager of Motorsports at Nissan North America. “We expect that to grow even further with the arrival of Frontier Sport Edition.”
The Frontier Sport Edition adds all-terrain tires, an aluminum skid plate, fog lamps, and a fun two-tone interior to the midsize pickup, while still keeping the price point relatively affordable.
Nissan’s Enthusiastic Truck Fans

Nissan’s Nismo division is intrinsically linked to the defunct GT-R and current Z sports cars, with souped-up versions of these models being some of the quickest and most exciting vehicles ever produced by the brand. The division’s expertise is demonstrated proudly in the latest Z Nismo, which finally has a manual transmission to go with its GT-R-inspired looks. But in truck-loving America, it’s easy to forget Nismo’s association with more rugged models like the Frontier and Armada. Sales of Nismo truck parts also show how important Frontier owners are for Nissan’s enthusiast brand.

The current Nismo store also offers upgrades like off-road LED lighting, heavy-duty off-road front bumpers, rooftop tents, storage cases, roof racks, and off-road exhaust systems. The full collection can transform the Frontier into a proper adventure vehicle.
“The growing range of NISMO Off Road accessories makes modifying Frontier easier than ever,” said Cole. “Whether it’s a lift kit, beadlock wheels or high-performance suspension, there are limitless opportunities to make Frontier your own while maintaining your Nissan limited warranty.”
While Toyota has split its performance divisions into distinct TRD (off-road) and GR (hot hatchbacks and track toys) sub-brands, Nismo encapsulates all of it. Nismo’s identity may revolve around the GT-R and Z cars, but some of the division’s biggest fans are ultimately more interested in ground clearance than lap times.
