When the Mercedes-Benz G-Class launched in 1979, no one could have predicted the sheer scale of its popularity. It gained prestige year-on-year, and by the 2000s, it had cemented itself as the king of opulence and wealth, driven by celebrities, dictators, and anyone else who could afford it and wanted to prove as much.
