The 2026 Mazda CX-5 is priced rather appealingly for its segment. Its base price of $31,485 with destination nearly makes it the cheapest small SUV out there, and once you add all-wheel drive to its Honda, Toyota, Kia, and Hyundai rivals (it’s standard on the Mazda), the CX-5 undercuts them all. Mazda plans to maintain as much of that advantage as possible when it comes to the compact crossover’s upcoming hybrid powertrain, which will reportedly be offered on all trim levels instead of reserved for the most expensive ones.
