The Super Veloce name is about to be revived, and ahead of the Lamborghini Revuelto SV being unveiled this coming Friday as part of the Monterey Car Week festivities, Sant’Agata has provided one more teaser, showing two angles of the bewinged supercar. The images reveal that the Revuelto SV will have several physical changes over the regular Revuelto, with much more angular front strakes reminiscent of those on the hardcore Huracán STO. Rather than the open, squared lower side intakes of the normal Revuelto, this SV model has carbon fiber elements splitting these lower intakes in two, and the carbon flows backward to the wheel arch. But that’s just a taste, and all of the aero will be heavily reworked.
Lamborghini Revuelto SV Keeps Big Wings Alive
The front teaser shows the triangular voids below the headlights a little more clearly, but the highlight of this angle is a view of the Revuelto SV’s enormous rear wing, which will have channels cut into each side. This will help air rushing over the rear haunches flow more quickly than that coming over the middle of the car and its double-bubble roof, exacerbating the low-pressure effects of the wake created by the car itself and gluing the supercar to the ground. This doubtless helped the Revuelto SV claim its recent Hockenheimring lap record, though we suspect most buyers will only appreciate the wow factor of such imposing aesthetics.
Buyers will also be impressed by increased output, with rumors pointing to the 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 hybrid powertrain being boosted from 1,001 horsepower to 1,065 hp. Other reports have even claimed between 1,200 and 1,400 hp, so an increase of some sort is surely in the cards; the Aventador made 690 hp, while the Aventador SV made 750 hp and the Aventador SVJ topped out at 759 hp.
Patent Images Reveal Revuelto SV Bodywork
Patent images discovered by The Supercar Blog have revealed the Revuelto SV’s looks early, though the real thing will surely have a bigger impact. In these patent sketches, we see that the body is mostly unchanged besides the front bumper. The rear diffuser looks very similar to the regular Revuelto’s, and apart from centerlock wheels (again, like the Huracáan STO) and the rear wing, nothing else stands out as different. Even the engine cover seems to be the same. What remains unclear is whether the adaptive rear wing of the regular Revuelto will still be active with the SV, but sightings at the Nürburgring seem to indicate the SV’s wing will be fixed, with no need for extra downforce at speed. We’ll know more on Friday the 14th.
