Jeep’s Twelve 4 Twelve Series Now On Its 10th Drop
Jeep refuses to let its special-edition Wrangler streak cool off. Over a month after dusting off the Laredo badge, the brand is back at it with the 2027 Wrangler Smoky Mountain Edition – the freshest face in the Twelve 4 Twelve lineup.
The Smoky Mountain Edition made its grand entrance at the 14th annual Smoky Mountain Invasion in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee – basically Jeep heaven for die-hard fans. This marks the 10th chapter in the Twelve 4 Twelve saga, a series that pays tribute to Jeep’s roots, legendary trails, and the off-road faithful.
Based on the four-door Wrangler Willys – arguably the best trim in the lineup – the Smoky Mountain Edition keeps all the Trail Rated chops but throws in some exclusive style inspired by the Great Smoky Mountains.

Trail Rated Hardware Remains the Foundation
Built on the Wrangler Willys, the Smoky Mountain Edition keeps the same off-road-ready mechanical package. Buyers can choose between a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder automatic or a 3.6-liter V6 automatic.
The off-road gear sticks to the tried-and-true Willys recipe: 33-inch BFGoodrich KO2 all-terrains (or beefier 35s if you’re feeling bold), Dana 44 axles front and rear, a locking rear diff, 4.10 gears, steel rock rails, and a factory hitch for when adventure calls.
Style-wise, Jeep throws on 17-inch smoky black wheels, a gloss black seven-slot grille, and those exclusive Smoky Mountain hood decals. The body-color hardtop and matching fender flares are standard, but if you want to go topless at the push of a button, the Sky One-Touch power top is still on the menu.
Inside, Jeep spices things up with a few Smoky Mountain-only touches but keeps the classic Wrangler vibe. The Black Ferndale cloth seats get a rugged embossed finish, and Terracotta stitching with metallic Blaze Orange accents bring a splash of Smoky Mountain color to the cabin.

Pricing Stays Close to Willys
Jeep didn’t forget the Easter eggs: look for a 1941 Willys parachute graphic on the seat bolsters, a commemorative plaque on the rear swing gate, and a shifter medallion with a mama bear and cub. Creature comforts like heated seats, a heated wheel, dual-zone climate, and a universal garage opener are all part of the deal.
If you want in, orders for the Wrangler Smoky Mountain Edition are now open for the four-door, no matter which automatic you choose. The best part, however, is that the package is only $80 more than a regular Willys with the same gear, so you get all the exclusive style and commemorative touches without breaking the bank.
