Keeping The Fans Happy
Hyundai’s gamble by introducing its own dedicated performance brand has more or less paid off. Not being known as a serious performance carmaker wasn’t a deal-breaker for most, but Hyundai has doubled down on showing there are fun cars to be had from its expansive lineup.
Some people have already jumped on the “N” brand, which has grown from a few models to a list that includes high-performance EVs and fun ICE-powered cars. Now, Hyundai is taking it even further, ensuring it keeps its N owners happy.

Nthusiastic Members
Just recently, Hyundai did a pilot member run for “the Nthusiast” membership program. This program is a customer loyalty and ownership experience that provides tailored perks. Subscribers to “the Nthusiast” enjoy high discounts of up to 50% off on tires, fuel, car washes, and official N merchandise. In a report by Newspim, Hyundai is furthering its loyalty program by trademarking the “N Members” name.
This comes after information from the Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (KIPRIS) revealed that the brand trademarked both the wordmark and the N-logo integrated formats. Another report from the Korean Car Blog notes that the new trademark highlights the brand’s intent to build an all-in-one platform that connects parts, purchasing, track experiences, and vehicle maintenance.

Classifications
There are two types of “classes” for the trademark: Class 35 (Commercial & Retail Services) includes customer loyalty programs, online merchandise shopping, and many more. While Class 41 (Education, Leisure & Sports) covers driving instructions, organization of car races, sports facility provision, leisure/recreation services, sports event ticketing, and club memberships.
These classifications show that the brand wants a platform that encapsulates the whole N ownership experience. There’s no confirmation yet whether N Members will take over the current Nthusiasts platform or when exactly N Members will be launched and rolled out.
