It must have been hair-on-fire time for the product development team at Stellantis, getting ready to announce a flood of 60 new vehicles and 50 significant refreshes by 2030, along with advanced technologies and new platforms, all headed to five major automotive markets worldwide. As chief design officer for Stellantis, Ralph Gilles supervised the whole process and summed it up like this: “I’ve been head of design since 2008, and I’ve never seen a workload like this – probably the most intense onslaught of projects ever, which is a good sign.”
