As the auto industry leans more and more into hybrids and small turbocharged engines, we’re happy to see that GM is still building big turbodiesel V8s. The 2027 Silverado HD trucks will pack the largest-displacement production V8 ever built in the 8.3-liter Duramax, a 555-horse monster that will break more than a couple records when it hits the market.
