Jim Farley might be losing sleep when stressing out over making difficult decisions about staff cuts and restructuring, but the Ford CEO said he’s no longer worried about Tesla overtaking the American auto industry in an absolute conversion to battery-electric vehicles. Instead, Farley is much more focused on Chinese automakers and trying to remain competitive with them as they make tremendous strides in technology, engineering, and quality. He was humbled after driving a Xiaomi SU7 electric sedan for six months in 2024.
