Genesis has more than proven its ability to ride with the rest of the luxury pack since it was pushed out of the nest and into being a separate nameplate. Hyundai started poaching BMW and Volkswagen Group engineers, designers, and executives at just the right time to launch its luxury division in a Lexus-like manner by hitting others where it hurts.
