Tesla has generated a zillion headlines with its Roadster reveal and the cold gas thruster technology that will purportedly show up on the production model. The company’s CEO, Elon Musk, even suggested the idea of using thrusters to aid acceleration and even get the car off the ground way back when the previous second-generation Roadster design was revealed. He and Tesla weren’t the only ones exploring that idea.
