Hyundai offered a plug-in hybrid version of the Tucson since the 2022 model year. That makes it one of the more recent entrants in the plug-in compact SUV segment, but it still has five model years under its belt. Put simply, Hyundai has given the model a fair chance at success. According to Hyundai, though, it never really found that success.
