A year ago, Nissan’s future was in doubt, but it’s gone from in the red to turning a profit in just 12 months. We won’t say Nissan is out of the woods just yet, but things are looking a heck of a lot better for Nissan now than it was a year ago. Nissan just announced Q1 financial results for the first quarter of the year, and despite a challenging global economic climate, the brand turned a profit of $496.5 million. In a surprise turn of events, Nissan even attributed some of its profits to US tariffs.
