A Small Price Bump, A Different Lineup
The Toyota Grand Highlander enters the 2027 model year with a reshuffled lineup rather than a major overhaul. The three-row SUV still targets families looking for plenty of cabin space, multiple powertrain choices, and the option of all-wheel drive, but Toyota has changed how it packages those choices.
Prices creep up a bit for 2027. The base LE with front-wheel drive now starts at $42,560 – just $300 more than last year. XLE jumps to $45,430, Limited to $50,060, and Platinum tops out at $55,745.
Hybrids aren’t immune to the price shuffle either. Hybrid LE now starts at $45,910, Hybrid XLE at $47,180, Hybrid Limited at $53,410, and the big-dog Hybrid MAX Platinum climbs to $60,475.

What’s New for 2027
Toyota now lets you pick AWD on the gas LE, XLE, and Limited without bundling it into a package. The hybrid side gets a new trim slotted between the Limited and the top-dog Hybrid MAX Platinum.
Say goodbye to the Hybrid Nightshade Edition and Hybrid MAX Limited. Toyota is keeping the Hybrid MAX powertrain exclusive to the Platinum badge from here on out.
Under the hood, it’s business as usual. The gas model packs a 2.4-liter turbo with 265 horsepower, the hybrid makes 245 horses, and the Hybrid MAX still rules the roost with 362 horsepower.
XLE trims now get a heated steering wheel and 18-inch dark gray wheels. The gas Platinum rolls on new wheels, and the Hybrid MAX Platinum picks up some extra black trim for a stealthier vibe.

Enter the Grand Highlander Woodland
The Grand Highlander Hybrid Woodland Edition finally brings the rugged Woodland look to Toyota’s biggest three-row SUV. You get a 2.5-liter hybrid and all-wheel drive right out of the box, plus 18-inch matte-black wheels wrapped in chunky all-terrain tires. Taller springs and those tires give it half an inch more ground clearance than the regular Grand Highlander.
Toyota didn’t forget the details for your next adventure. There’s a removable second-row cooler, all-weather mats, roof rails with crossbars, LED fog lights, mud guards, and a tow hitch. You also get a 120V outlet and a cargo tray with pop-up dividers for hauling the family’s gear.
The Woodland also gets black badges and exterior accents, giving it a different look without turning the Grand Highlander into a dedicated off-roader.

Availability
You still get seating for eight, a third row that actually fits adults, and up to 97.5 cubic feet of cargo space with the seats down. Standard kit includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plenty of USB-C ports, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0.
The Woodland slots in alongside LE, XLE, Limited, and Platinum trims, covering all the powertrain bases. Toyota still builds the Grand Highlander in Princeton, Indiana, and 2027 models should hit dealerships before the year’s out.
