To mark a quarter-century of the IS, Lexus has unveiled a limited-run special appearance package for the 2027 Lexus IS. The result is a special-edition IS 350 F Sport that comes with an envious new shade of green paint, black BBS wheels and a host of other small additions.

The package was made public in Miami at the conclusion of the four-city IS 25th Legacy Tour. For the North American market, Lexus will be capping production at 350 units. Lexus says these are to be found at dealerships later this year, though pricing and full specs are being held until closer to launch.
What you get with the 2027 IS Special Appearance Package is more than just looks. Built on the IS 350 F Sport, it brings exclusive interior and exterior touches as well as upgraded chassis and driver-assistance hardware.

Visually, the standout is the new Envious green hue, which is offset by 19-inch forged alloy BBS wheels in black. They lend the F Sport bodywork a more aggressive air. Step inside and the sport seats are trimmed in black NuLuxe with Ultrasuede and some contrasting green stitching. There is also satin chrome trim to provide an upscale feel, but the cabin otherwise stays true to the driver-centric nature of the IS 350 F Sport.
Under the hood is the familiar naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V-6 from the rest of the IS range, putting out 311 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Buyers can have it with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive; the former is mated to an eight-speed automatic, the latter to a six-speed.
Lexus has also fitted the car with its Handling Package. This means sport-tuned Adaptive Variable Suspension and Drive Mode Select (with everything from ECO to Sport S+). On the rear-drive variant, a Torsen limited-slip differential is included.

Then there is the matter of technology. A Technology Package is part of the deal, adding such standard equipment as a Mark Levinson audio system, a moonroof and Intuitive Parking Assist. The list of driver aids is extensive, covering Lane Change and Front Cross-Traffic alerts, Traffic Jam Assist and a Panoramic View Monitor. Triple-Beam LED headlamps and a power rear sunshade are also on board.
As for availability, expect to see the 350 allocated vehicles for North America arrive in the coming months. Lexus has not put a price tag on the special edition, but those details should follow before the sedan goes on sale.
