If we’ve said it once here at CarBuzz, we’ve said it a hundred times: the large engine as a whole is dying a slow death. We’ve seen many V8, V10, and V12 motors slowly phased out of existence in favor of more fuel-efficient and lighter mills, many of which sport only four or six cylinders. In order to meet the power deficit faced by these engines with fewer cylinders, turbocharging has stepped in to help draw out more power.
