Volkswagen Is Restoring A Bus That Survived The California Wildfires

In the aftermath of the wildfires in California this past January, one particular photo caught people’s attention. It was taken by an Associated Press photographer of a neighborhood in Malibu that had been ravaged by the Palisades fire. In the photo, everything from the houses to the trees were barren and singed from the flames. The sole exception was a little blue 1977 Volkswagen T2 bus parked on the street that looked practically untouched. It didn’t just catch the public’s attention, though, it also caught that of Volkswagen of America. Now, the company is working on getting the little bus back in working order for its owner.
