Many automakers continue to hold out hope for some sort of relief from the newly imposed US tariffs on imported cars and parts, while others have already begun to raise their vehicle prices to offload the burden of the new costs to consumers. So far, Toyota has been one of the holdouts – with execs believing a new trade deal between Japan and the US will be worked out by June – but its US executives are now singing a different tune, and price hikes could come quickly.
