Despite being one of the automaker’s most famous nameplates of all time, the Subaru WRX is having a rough time at the showroom. In June 2025, the rally-inspired sport-compact sedan found only 350 new homes, a precipitous 74% drop from June 2024, and the popular Forester crossover and its forthcoming hybrid sibling are to blame. Since both product lines are manufactured at the same facility in ÅŒta, Gunma Prefecture, Japan, the automaker has been prioritizing its strong-selling, profitable crossover above the WRX.
