The Ram 1500 got a major refresh for the 2025 model year, earning it the CarBuzzTruck of the Year award in 2024. Among the big changes was a new engine under the hood, a twin-turbocharged inline-six called the Hurricane, which replaced Ram’s longstanding Hemi V8. It was gutsier, more efficient, and smoother; we loved it! Oh, how wrong we were. Ram customers quickly demanded the brand bring back the V8 engine, and as soon as former CEO Tim Kuniskis returned to the company, the Hemi made its return after a brief hiatus.
