- Garage Ill’s kit gives Suzuki’s Jimny a Toyota-inspired makeover.
- Kit adds a Hilux Champ-style grille with rectangular headlights.
- Extras include lowering springs, towing hooks, and seat covers.
Suzuki’s long-running partnership with Toyota has yielded a string of rebadged collaborations, yet the ever-popular Jimny has, until now, remained untouched. That changes in a roundabout way thanks to Japanese tuner ill Garage, which has dreamed up a clever workaround with a face-swapping kit that lets the plucky off-roader borrow a few cues from Toyota’s playbook.
The CH:AMP conversion borrows its identity from the Toyota Hilux Champ pickup, known elsewhere as the Rangga, Stout, or Tamaraw. More recently, the Champ gained wider recognition as the foundation for Toyota’s new ‘baby’ Land Cruiser FJ.
What Does It Copy?
Up front, the new face adopts rectangular headlights, a boxy grille, and a two-piece front bumper, echoing the straightforward, functional design of Toyota’s budget-friendly workhorse while subtly hinting at the Land Cruiser FJ.

Each component comes finished in black to complement the wider fenders and contrasting roof of the demo car. The example shown also wears aftermarket wheels wrapped in chunky tires, while a set of lowering springs drops the ride height by 1.5 inches (38 mm). Dummy towing hooks add a bit of show-truck bravado.
Inside, the tuner offers retro-inspired seat covers in Cognac Brown or Charcoal Black, combining leather with braided inserts and rear storage pockets.

The result is a Jimny that could almost pass for a Toyota, if not for the tuner’s choice to plaster CH:AMP in bright red across the grille, presumably a precautionary measure to keep Toyota’s legal department from knocking on the door.

The conversion fits both the three-door Jimny Sierra and the five-door Jimny Nomad, though the narrow-body kei car version misses out. Buyers can pick and choose parts individually, or let ill Garage handle the entire process by ordering a new or used Jimny pre-converted and delivered.
How Much Does It Cost?
Pricing starts at ¥360,800 ($2,300) for the base setup with halogen headlights, or ¥386,100 ($2,500) for LED units. Paint and installation add extra cost, depending on the customer’s choice.
Additional upgrades include lowering springs for ¥55,000, dummy towing hooks for ¥49,000 ($320), and real towing hooks at ¥98,000 ($640). A set of Baja-style fog lights runs ¥165,000 ($1,100).
For those wanting more visual punch, a rugged rear bumper costs ¥132,000 ($860), while a sportier muffler adds another ¥66,000 ($430). The retro seat covers are priced at ¥85,800 ($560).

It’s worth noting that Garage Ill also offers a Ford Bronco conversion for the Jimny for those who prefer a more American flavor. Both builds can be seen in the official video below.
