Subaru Could Revive The BRAT Pickup, But Not In The Way You’re Hoping

Fans of the Subaru BRAT may either want to avert their gaze or pay close attention, depending on their automotive tastes. The automaker is rumored to bring out its third compact truck, but unlike the charming BRAT or the funky Baja, it may take the shape of an all-electric pickup based on the Toyota EPU concept. The move shouldn’t be too surprising given the Subaru Trailseeker and Solterra’s shared bones with the Toyota bZ and bZ Woodland, but it might nonetheless be a little disappointing to die-hard fans of the subcompact coupe-utility BRAT of the 1970s and 1980s.
