Nixing physical controls for touchscreens is all the rage these days, especially in luxury vehicles. Mercedes-Benz led the charge years ago with its glass MBUX cockpit, utilizing big screens spanning the entire dash. Despite pushback from buyers, the trend continues with vehicles like the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade, which features a pillar-to-pillar screen up top and another touchscreen mounted low to control common-use features like headlights and climate control settings.
