Everybody is celebrating Ram’s decision to bring the iconic Hemi V8 back to the Ram 1500 pickup for 2026, after plans for the brand’s new Hurricane inline-six engine didn’t quite take off. Prior to this announcement there were delays in bringing Ram’s electrified trucks into production. It’s now confirmed that those delays were a direct result of the decision to bring back the V8. To be specific, some number crunching pointed to a clear need for Hemi now, EV later.
