Porsche has finally pulled the wraps off its specially commissioned 963 RSP supercar just ahead of its public debut at the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans next weekend. Inspired by the 917K – specifically the example delivered in Paris to Count Rossi in 1975 – the 963 features most of the race-ready mechanicals of its Le Mans prototype hypercar sibling, but with cosmetics and an interior that pay homage to that legendary road-legal Porsche racing car of 50 years ago. Unlike the mass-produced 911 Carrera, the 963 RSP is a one-of-one project built and named for Roger S. Penske, chairman of the Penske Corporation that includes among its many interests a successful Porsche racing team.
