The company that just squeezed more than 300 miles out of the all-new 2026 Nissan Leaf EV is now promising that its next-generation solid-state battery development is well underway and on track to hit the market before many competitors. The technology promises dramatically more energy density using different construction and electrolyte properties within the battery unit, which could translate to significantly improved range for future hybrid and electric Nissan models yet to come.
