Since the introduction of the automobile in the late 19th century, automakers have showcased their latest and greatest designs, ideas, and engineering practices in the form of concept cars. The concept car “concept” as a whole really took hold in the 1930s with the introduction of models like the 1938 Buick Y-Job and the 1934 Porsche Type 32. These, along with other conceptual models, captured the heart and soul of anyone who happened to gaze upon them at an auto show.
