Voice-controlled assistants are not one of the most popular automotive features of all time. Their frequent misunderstandings of human speech would be good comedic material if technology were not contributing to driver distraction and potential accidents. The system’s progress has been slow, and only very recently has it reached the point of being anywhere close to useful.
