The Ford F-150 isn’t just one of the most popular trucks in American history; it has been the best-selling vehicle in the United States for over forty years (until last year, that is, when the Toyota RAV4 took that title). In any case, we’re currently in the fourteenth generation of the F-Series truck, and there are plenty of examples with more than enough data over the last three decades to rank the more recent versions. Since there are so many, we chose to focus on the five most recent generations, which range from 1997 to today. F-150 reliability varies greatly among generations, and sometimes among model years.
