EPA Pushes Diesel Manufacturers Away From DEF Sensors, But Not The Fluid

The run of diesel engine deregulation at the EPA continues. The agency has just released guidance that makes big changes when it comes to diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), in an effort to make the systems more reliable. The EPA claims that removing the Urea Quality Sensors and replacing them with a new process will “save American farmers and truckers over $13 billion annually.” Whether this process works, however, is a different question.
