A study published on Science Direct a couple of years ago suggests that people who regularly play video games may actually see improved performance when it comes to real-life driving ability. That probably comes as no surprise to drivers who got their first taste of the road driving virtual simulations of Honda Civic Type Rs and Ford Mustang GTs in games like Gran Turismo and Need for Speed. These games range from realistic to cartoonish in their simulation of actual physics, but getting behind the wheel of a PlayStation isn’t the worst way to learn the basics of operating a vehicle.
