First of the Neue Klasse LCIs
The Neue Klasse has been established, and the all-new iX3 ushered in a new era for BMW. The next-generation 3 Series will be the next to get a radical overhaul, but the rest of the range will get facelifted to get the same look. With that, expect the 7 Series, 5 Series, and X3 to get elements from BMW’s new philosophy.
Of the upcoming LCI models, the 7 Series will get the Neue Klasse look first. There have been spy shots of it for the past couple of months, and now, we’re not too far from the full reveal. BMW has released a teaser of it on its socials, and yes, there will still be opinions.

Imposing, to Say the Least
For those expecting a toned-down, more reserved design for the 2027 7 Series, prepare to be disappointed. If anything, it appears that BMW doubled down on taking design risks. One thing is for sure, though: it will get people talking. It’s the E65 7 Series all over again.
So, what’s different? While it still has the quad-headlight arrangement, the daytime running lights are even slimmer than before. Its hood also looks flatter, and the grille has more defined corners. We could expect the headlights to have been changed as well, and there might be reshaped sheetmetal for this model update. This is no light facelift, folks.

The Launch Date is Up in the Air
Given that it’s been teased already, the full reveal shouldn’t be that far away. However, the exact date for it is still unknown. We know that the electric version of the 3 Series is coming on March 18, and another M model is set to make its premiere on March 16. At the rate BMW has been unveiling new and redesigned models these days, we wouldn’t be surprised if this debuts before the end of the month.
BMW hid enough details to make us curious, but showed enough to stir the pot. What it isn’t doing is holding back on daring and opinion-splitting designs — for better or worse. With what we’re seeing so far, the Mercedes-BenzS-Class’ recent major overhaul looks conservative in comparison.
