BMW has shared cryptic teasers of a new concept car on social media, looking like a new version of the Skytop from last year.
The shadowy photos focus on the rear end, revealing a dramatic roofline and a sculpted tail with ultra-slim LEDs. The curved rear fenders and the fin-shaped door handles match the ones from the BMW Skytop convertible, but the bodystyle is closer to a shooting brake.

BMW describes the model as “a unique blend of design, elegance, and precise craftsmanship”, hinting at a coachbuilt special. Note that the Skytop is based on the underpinnings of the BMW 8-Series, featuring a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 with 617 hp (625 PS) matching the M8 Competition.
While the automaker hasn’t shared any details about the debut, the new concept is expected to debut at the 2025 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. The event will take place in Lake Como between May 24-26.
The BMW Skytop debuted at the 2024 edition of the same event, going from concept to a limited production of 50 units in record time. Judging from the enthusiastic response to the original, we can assume that BMW will also want to put the exotic shooting brake in production, offering it at a spicy price tag.
