America simply can’t get enough of off-road-oriented vehicles of all shapes, sizes, and capabilities. The proof is in the never-ending stream of SUVs getting trim levels focused on getting far off pavement. Mitsubishi dipped its toes into the rugged trim pool with its Trail Edition Outlander and Outlander Sport, though they lacked actual improvements in capability.
