A Different Kind of Crossover
The beauty of collaborations is that they bring together people from different backgrounds who might not otherwise cross paths. Case in point, Acura collaborated with Vans to create a one-of-one ADX with BMX-themed modifications.
Both the Acura ADX and Vans appeal to younger, lifestyle-oriented consumers. They also worked with BMX superstar Coco Zurita on this project, bringing Zurita’s total vehicle collaborations with the Japanese luxury marque to three. This one-off, called the “CZ-77 Concept,” comes at a time when the ADX is seeing strong sales growth, selling 25,211 units in the first nine months of 2026, a 114.5% increase year-over-year. Although the model only went on sale in March 2025, the collaboration could still be seen as a way to capitalize on its momentum.

The BMX Treatment
Debuting at Vans HQ in Costa Mesa, California, on October 24, the CZ-77 Concept aims to represent the world of tuners and BMX culture with modifications such as 19-inch Rotiform wheels with aero discs, a custom carbon-fiber aero body kit, and custom fender flares. There’s also a rear BMX structure designed to hold and showcase a BMX bike.
Vans North America supplied approximately 90% of the fabric used in the custom build. The cabin features a sporty finish with Sparco bucket seats and steering wheel, an NRG harness bar, CZ-77 design elements, and even a rear-seat delete, an uncommon modification for a luxury crossover. But perhaps that complements Vans’ core pillars, including self-expression and individuality.
Acura didn’t mention any powertrain changes, so the 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four – which belongs to the same engine family as the one in the Honda Civic Si – is likely retained. If so, the engine should still make 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque. It comes with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) from the factory, paired with either FWD or AWD.

Far From Factory Fresh
The CZ-77 Concept builds on two earlier collaborations with Coco Zurita, who has earned several podium finishes at the X Games. The first project was a custom 2023 Integra, followed by a custom 2024 TLX Type S, which was unveiled at the 2024 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.
“Working with Acura and Vans gave me a chance to pour my passions for BMX, design and community into a unique ADX build that has a strong attitude and a lot of personality,” Zurita said.
The press release didn’t say whether the CZ-77 Concept will be preserved or auctioned off. Given the extensive modifications, this custom ADX would likely command a premium over the regular model if it were ever offered for sale. The standard ADX starts at $35,000 before destination charges and competes in the U.S. market against the likes of the BMW X1 and Lexus UX.
