No other car type has quite the same ability to be a status symbol as a luxury SUV. They combine enormous size and ride height to allow their occupants to look down on all the other peasants below, and have all the same creature comforts you would expect to find in a luxury limo, like an S-Class. The downside to all of this, of course, is that a luxury hybrid SUV is monstrously expensive to buy and run, with some models starting in the six figures and guzzling fuel thereafter.
