With the 2027 Honda Civic Sedan and Hatchback making their way to dealers across the country, a new Sport-L trim will be part of the mix by year’s end. The gas-powered Civic is getting an upgrade in the form of this Sport-L, which slots in between the standard Sport and the Sport Hybrid.

What the Sport-L brings to the table are some of the amenities that make it a bit more upscale. The Sport-L is powered by the 2.0-liter engine and features leather seats, power adjustable and heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control and silver interior trim. There’s are also illuminated vanity mirrors and a pocket on the passenger side seatback.

On the hybrid side of things, the Civic Sport Touring will now have Honda’s S+ Shift system. We first saw it on the 2026 Prelude. It is designed to put a bit more of a performance feel into the driving experience with its virtual rev-matched downshifts and gear holding, not to mention the added engine noise.

Pricing for the 2027 model has been announced. The LX comes in at $26,290 and the new Sport-L at $29,790, including the destination fee. For the Civic Sport Hybrid, the pricing starts at $30,990.
