When the time comes for a car company to redesign its bestseller, it’s understandable if the result is pretty similar to what was already available. That’s the path Toyota took when updating the RAV4, which topped both Toyota’s and America’s sales charts, excluding a certain pickup truck line. Toyota gave it freshened styling, and made it hybrid-only, and that was about it. Hyundai, on the other hand, is going in a very different direction.
