If you’re a fan of Mercedes-Benz and BMW, and the new model you want is out of your price range, all you have to do is wait it out. European luxury cars tend to hold their value about as well as a paper bag holds a gallon of water. Porsches are another story. Waiting for a Porsche 911 to lose value is practically a fool’s errand.
