Horacio Pagani turned 70 last year and the birthday celebrations will continue at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where his company will unveil the Huayra 70 Derecho. It’s billed as a “few-off creation” and the second of three Huayra 70 models designed to mark Horacio’s milestone.
Made by the company’s Grandi Complicazioni division, the Huayra 70 Derecho sports a two-tone exterior featuring a Pearl Orange body with Blue highlights. The automaker says the combination gives a perception of lightness and forward motion, while also revealing the “fish-bone weave of the carbon fiber.”

The special touches don’t end there as the roadster has milled aluminum components with a Glossy Titanium anodized finish. They’re joined by 20- and 21-inch wheels as well as a prominent rear wing and an intake that hovers above occupants heads.
Slipping into the cabin reveals a handcrafted interior with Ceramic White and Tricolore Blue leather. They’re accompanied by contrast stitching, Blue carbon fiber, and high-quality switchgear. The model also incorporates Pearl Orange paint on the steering wheel and shifter, while there’s “Huayra 70 Derecho” badging on the door panels.
Motivation is provided by a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine developing 852 hp (635 kW / 864 PS) and 811 lb-ft (1,100 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a seven-speed manual that sends power to the rear wheels. This setup enables the model to hit an electronically limited top speed of 218 mph (350 km/h).
In a statement, Horacio Pagani said “Our daily commitment is to dedicate the utmost attention to every single detail, striving to approach that essential harmony between form and function, intellect and craftsmanship, just as Leonardo da Vinci taught us. To be able to present the world premiere of the Pagani Huayra 70 Derecho at Goodwood is a privilege for us: an opportunity to share the fruits of this labor with those who share our same profound love for the automobile.”
