- Rolls-Royce has unveiled the one-off Phantom Regatta.
- It’s a special commission that will debut at Goodwood.
- Nautical-inspired model is longer than a Cadillac Escalade.
Lots of vehicles have been described as land yachts, but that’s an apt term for the Rolls-Royce Phantom Regatta. The one-off model pays “tribute to the racing yachts of the English South Coast” and is based on the Phantom Extended, which spans 235.5 inches (5,982 mm) long.
Besides being nearly a foot longer than a Cadillac Escalade ESV, the ultra-luxury flagship embraces a nautical theme. This is clearly visible outside as the Phantom sports a stylish two-tone exterior that combines Regatta Blue with English White. The hand-laid colors are applied in a way that “recalls the line where a yacht’s hull meets the water.”

Elsewhere, there are 22-inch polished disc wheels that are a subtle nod to the polished steel winches of racing yachts. The model also sports a number of bright chrome accents.
The two-tone theme is more pronounced in the cabin as the driver’s compartment is wrapped in Navy Blue leather. It’s contrasted by Grace White stitching and piping as well as a two-tone steering wheel.
They’re joined by white vent surrounds as well as a hand-painted Gallery named “Watercolour.” The ocean-inspired piece was created in-house using specially developed paints and a new blending technique, which was “refined over two weeks across numerous test panels.”
The rear passenger compartment features an inverse color design as there’s Grace White seats with Navy Blue piping and contrast stitching. The two individual seats are separated by a center console covered in beautiful wood trim sporting a chevron pattern.
The nautical theme is present inside as the rear picnic tables are designed to recall the deck of a yacht. Each one took approximately 120 hours to create and they combine 16 planks of Royal Walnut with thin strips of Black Bolivar.

Rounding out the highlights are illuminated door panels and a bespoke Starlight Headliner. The latter consists of 1,307 fiber optic ‘stars’ designed to resemble the swirling tidal currents around the Isle of Wight.
The Phantom Regatta will be unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and it presumably features a twin-turbo 6.75-liter V12 developing 563 hp (420 kW / 571 PS) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. It enables the Extended variant to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 5.2 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
