Honda’s first EV is still the only one the automaker sells, and though it has been selling rather well, many manufacturers of EVs have had to get a bit creative to ensure their continued success. Interest in electric cars is not what it was five years ago, and legacy automakers are facing increasing pressure to make their EVs more affordable in the face of new, convincing upstarts. Add to this the end of the federal tax credit for new EVs, effectively adding $7,500 to the cost of buying one, and it is no wonder the Honda Prologue range has seen a massive price drop for 2026.
