Plenty of hot hatches have come and gone from US roads throughout the history of the breed, which stretches all the way back to the first Volkswagen Golf GTI in the mid-1970s. Some have been forgotten because, well, they’re a bit rubbish, while others have been overshadowed by their more convenient cousins. The latter scenario was the way things played out for the Hyundai Veloster N, a quirky three-door hot hatch that was sold in the US between 2019 and 2022.
