If Chevrolet was to write its own “tales of the unexpected” novel, surely the 1994 Impala SS would have a chapter all of its own. After all, it was essentially a revamped cop car, and GM did something that nobody saw coming when it launched this model as an oddball, body-on-frame sedan.
