The 350Z was the right car at the right time for Nissan. Based on a new platform underpinning several models and shared running gear, the car managed the rare trick of being more than the sum of its parts. Very keen pricing helped keep sales high and Nissan in business. The formula was so successful that Nissan decided to repeat the trick with the 370Z.
