Rambler was an American brand and nameplate that lasted from 1897 till 1983, creating a mix of economy and semi-luxury models. While now a member of a long list of forgotten American car brands that succumbed to the financial pressure of going against the American big three, Rambler was, at one point, a hot brand that created the first successful all-American compact, and then moved to be a semi-luxury brand. We will answer these questions and look at a few Rambler models while we are at it.
